Why standard boxes take less time than bespoke

Why do our standard boxes take less time?

There are many reasons why our standard boxes take less time than our bespoke boxes. Firstly, we work with our existing designs that just need tinkering rather than creating something completely new. Secondly, to improve build time, we always have several partially finished boxes in these standard designs.

For example, we have three standard box design types at the moment, in specific sizes and construction. They are the small watch/valet box, the medium watch/ valet box and the small cufflink box. The construction of each type is standardised and, as such is batch-made and later completed based on the design requested by the client.

This can greatly reduce the time to manufacture the boxes after an order is placed. This allows us to complete the box from the order in approximately 6-8 weeks.

Bespoke boxes

Bespoke boxes, on the other hand, we need time to understand the client’s requirements, draw designs, source materials, build the box from scratch. This can be a lengthy process and depends upon the client’s requirements and finding adequate workshop time.
